Standard

With newcomer Peter Capaldi, anything can happen, but here’s hoping it’ll blow everyone out of the water. 1. I think I’m most curious about “The Caretaker” – caretaker of what? And is there significance to that “the”? Is he/she, like the Doctor, “the definite article”? Also “Mummy on the Orient Express”, which could turn out to be a colourful 1920s romp, or dismal: Who knows!

Reads like a good mix of experienced DW writers, and newbies.

Now that you mention it… The Doctor, the Master, the Rani.. What if the Caretaker is something along those lines. Might be a stretch but would be cool.

  2. Nerves and hope… as usual for me. Always hopeful, especially this year with Peter Capaldi bringing all manner of newness surely… but nervous that I might be let down in the end. Only way to find out is to watch, and I will be watching!

  3. Interesting to see so many episodes so-written by Moffat, I wonder if there’s a reason for that?
Also of interest: episode one’s titled “Deep Breath”, episode eleven’s titled “Deep Water”. There’s definitely a connection there.
Finally: twelve episodes? This could be a coincidence, but then it might not…

I think that last bit is merely a coincidence. But I wouldn’t be surprised if they started capitalizing on it: “12 All New Episodes for the 12th Doctor, starting this Saturday on BBC One!”
