Fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender and it’s sequel series The Legend of Korra, rejoice! It was announced yesterday via a video on Nickelodeon’s website that Season 4 of the Legend of Korra, “Book 4: Balance” will air October 3rd (yes, this year). That means it’ll begin airing just over a month after “Book 3: Change” finished. I’m stretching the term “airing” as it won’t actually be going on air. Rather it’ll be streamed online at Nick.com, similar to how the latter half of the third season was streamed, due to poor ratings.
I have yet to catch up, but I’ll try to get caught up by the time the new season begins. Fans of the series, how does this make you feel? Does it feel rushed, or is it better this way? This is most likely going to be the last season of The Legend of Korra, so it’ll be bittersweet, but sure to impress.
As great as the Legend of Korra is, I wish Nickelodeon would find a way to bring back Avatar Aang and his group. We never did find out what happened to Zuko’s mother.

I like it. Granted Nickelodeon dropped the ball on marketing, but true Avatar fans were gifted with something truly special

I’m excited. Last season was a major departure from the usual clear cut hero/villian dynamic; there were parts where I thought the main antagonist had some very valid points. It’s not like the previous seasons of Korra, and not as entertaining, but on some levels it’s much deeper. It ended great, and I really want to see how things are going to be in this new season, based on what they foreshadowed.
