Leonard Nimoy Dies at 83

Leonard Nimoy, known best for his portrayal of Spock in the original Star Trek series, died this morning at his home in Bel Air, Los Angeles. He was 83. His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, announced that his death came at the grip of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

I think it’s high time for a Star Trek rewatch. His memory amongst friends, family, and fans will undoubtedly live long and prosper.

  1. The positive that you can take from this is, in his own words… in recent interviews, it sure seems like he got what he wanted from life. Didn’t seem like a man living with regrets, so if you have to go one day, and we all have to, probably hard to top the way Leonard Nimoy went about his life.

  2. Couldn’t have put it better myself (although I tried). It really is the message to take away from this – there’s no better way to celebrate his life than by watching the classics. Tonight, I’m going for a Wrath of Khan viewing. My own way of saying goodbye.
