In the past I’ve reviewed several Studio Ghibli films, the ultra-popular anime film company that’s brought us all-time greats such as Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away. You can check out my reviews for The Wind Rises and From Up on Poppy Hill, by clicking the links. But today, check out a trailer from The Tale of Princess Kagula, one of Ghibli’s latest films, directed by Isao Takahata. It’s based on the Japanese folk story “The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter.” Although it was released last year, it’ll have its’ North American release on October 17, 2014. I promise you, it’s like no Ghibli film you’ve ever seen.
